Cuban-Inspired Cuisine that’s Oh So Delicioso!

Havana Eats is a food truck and catering business founded in 2017 in Salt Lake City. Our idea is simple: create food inspired by authentic family recipes, focus on simplicity and quality, and spread the same joy, love and traditions we grew up with.

Owner Brett Roderick brings those ideas to SLC drawing inspiration from his family’s recipes, and using food to pay tribute to his family and Cuba's storied past. The truck design highlights vibrant colors found in the heart of Havana, the music envelops guests in a Caribbean vibe and the food speaks for itself.

Gaining rapid notoriety, Havana Eats was featured on the Food Network’s Big Food Truck Tip with host and world-renowned chef Andrew Zimmern, bringing Havana Eats to the forefront of the food truck scene in Salt Lake City and beyond.

A note from the owner...

After many years in the military, far from home and family, one thing became very apparent to me – family is everything! When I decided to embark on this journey I kept the thought of family at the forefront of it all - and what better way to share what they gave me than with food! I am excited to bring some Cuban-Inspired cuisine to Salt Lake City, and I certainly hope you all enjoy!

Another lesson learned from the military is you never leave a man behind. As a gesture of gratitude to those who have served our great nation, a portion of all profits will go to veterans assistance programs in Utah. As Havana Eats grows, we strive to assist veterans-in-need through employment, opportunities and outreach programs.
